| How to Donate to the Great Channel 10 Auction? |
To receive on-air promotion, your items or certificates must have a value of
$80.
Items valued at less than $80 can be grouped together. Identical items with a
minimum valued of $20 each can be grouped together as a "multiple" but the
combined value must be at least $80.
For example: 5 alarm clocks, each valued at $20, for a total donation of
$100. The five highest bidders will each receive one alarm clock.
Participation Levels:
|
| |
| $80 to $499: |
Each single item within this value range (or multiple grouping totaling $80 or more)
receives one on-air presentation. |
| |
| $500 to $999: |
Each single item within this value range receives multiple same day customized video or live presentations.
|
| |
$1,000+: (Super Board)
|
Each single item at or above this value range receives a 20-30 second customized presentation of the item, featured 3 to 15 times over 2 to 7 days in proportion to the value of the item.
| Lucky 7 - For seven items or services each valued at $80 or more, receive seven days of 15 to 20 second on-air promotion. Each item is promoted once per day during the general merchandise portion of the auction.
Daily Double - For fourteen items or services each valued at $80 or more, receive seven days of 15 to 20 second on-air promotion. Each item is promoted twice per day during the general merchandise portion of the auction.
Multiples - Identical items (size, color, etc.) that can be grouped together to meet the minimum on-air presentation value of $80. Each multiple item must be valued at $20 or more. Example: 4 alarm clocks, each valued at $20, for a total of $80 receiving one on air presentation. The four highest bidders will each receive one alarm clock. Example: 6 dining certificates, each valued at $40, for a total of $240 receiving three on-air presentations. The certificates will be auctioned in pairs for each presentation with the two highest bidders for each presentation receiving one certificate.

| With a minimum donation of
$1,000 or more, you will receive multiple 20 to 30 second presentations
highlighting your product/service for two or more days of the auction
depending on the donation amount. The higher the donation value, the

produced by Channel 10. |
Donations with a total value under $80 are gladly accepted, but do not receive on-air promotion unless they fall under the multiple category. These items are sold in our Outlet Shop. All items must be new, artwork, antiques, or legitimate collectibles.
Participation Guidelines: Used
merchandise will not be accepted. All merchandise (except art, collectables and
authentic antiques) must be brand new and in perfect condition.
Partial items and certificates will not be accepted i.e. buyers must not be
required to spend additional money beyond their winning bid.
Certificates are used for the following items:
- Services: Car washes, repairs, haircuts, dinners, lessons,
entertainment, photographs, etc.
- Perishable items: Foods, living plants & trees, live
animals, etc.
- Large or fragile items: (To avoid scratches and
breaks)
- Exchangeable clothing
CLIENTS/DONORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN CERTIFICATE, BUT IT IS
NOT NECESSARY.
Certificate items sell well with displays, donors are encouraged to create a
display to better describe their certificate item. However, neither the Friends
nor the station is responsible for loss or damage to the display, so please do
not create a display with a high monetary value.
If you provide a certificate without a display, our volunteer staff will
create one.
