
Volunteers
are what make MPTV Friends value to the community unlimited! We understand that
everyone has something unique to contribute, and we offer a variety of
ways you can assist. Experience is not necessary to volunteer, just
enthusiasm and commitment. We will provide training in exchange for
your time and commitment. Volunteering your time is a great way to meet
new people, gain valuable job experience and have some community
spirited fun! Here are just a few ways you can volunteer at MPTV Friends:

Gathering on the Green - July 12,
2008
MPTV is the media sponsor for Gathering on the
Green, at Mequon Rotary Park, 4000 West Highland Road, Mequon. Stop by our MPTV
Friends Membership Booth at this event.
Gathering on the Green is the only performance
of its kind in the country that combines orchestra, ballet, opera and theater.
Approximately 7,000 attendees come from all over southeastern Wisconsin for the
event. The event is to be affordable to families and of interest to a large
segment of the community. It is a volunteer organization.

Outdoor Wisconsin Milford
Hills Family Fun Day - Sunday, August 17, 2008
Located
at the Milford Hills Hunt Club in Johnson Creek, WI, volunteers are needed
to assist with selling tickets, as ticket takers, in the children's area,
selling raffle tickets and as parking assistants.
There are
two shifts for this event - 9:00 - 12:30 or 11:30 - 4:00. If you work early
shift, stay for the later one and enjoy this new Outdoor Wisconsin
event.

On-Air Membership Drive - September 5-14,

Groups
and individuals are needed to volunteer to staff our telephone bank for this
September Drive (traditionally held in August). The shift times are only
approximate at this time. Specific times will be posted in late
July.
Week
nights are traditionally 6:30 - 11:00 p.m.
Saturdays
have three shifts 9:00 - 2:00, 1:30-6:30 or 6:00 - 11:00
Sundays
have two shifts 1:00 - 5:30 or 5:00 - 11:00

Viewer Service Desk and Tour
Guides
Located at MATC downtown, at the MPTV. Parking
provided no handicap parking available.
The viewers service desk volunteers come in
mornings or afternoons on weekdays. A schedule and training is provided by the
viewer services department at MPTV. For more information, call volunteer

Tour Guides are scheduled as need through the
viewer services department at MPTV. For more information, call volunteer
services or email your request.
Office Assistant
Located at MATC downtown, at the MPTV Friends
Office. Parking provided no handicap parking available.
This is a newly created volunteer position. The
volunteer director will schedule these volunteers as needed once to twice a
week. Volunteer responsibilities include, a basic understanding on MS Office
Suite, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point, clear communication and good
telephone etiquette, envelope stuffing and assisting as desired at auction,
special events, and on-air membership drives.
Flexible daytime hours between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00
p.m., scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursdays. A schedule may be established
if desired by the volunteer and training will be provided as needed by the
