Our Philosophy

With a relatively small staff, the MPTV Friends fundraising efforts succeed!  Most of the credit belongs to hundreds of community minded volunteers actively participating at On-Air Membership Drives, The Great TV Auction and Special Events throughout the year.   The Friends is a volunteer driven organization because volunteers are vital members of our team. Our volunteer turnover is low because people enjoy their time with The Friends.  We offer a variety of opportunities and responsibility levels that match the interests and talents of our valued partners. Our volunteers are committed to public television. They know their efforts provide excellence in public television broadcasting and service to our shared community.
